Soraccel has been selected as one of four BraveTech EU awardees, receiving €300,000 to further develop its AI-driven mission system capable of navigating without GPS.

The award follows EU OPEX, the European Defence Agency’s operational experimentation campaign, held alongside the Portuguese Armed Forces at the Santa Margarida military camp.

Bringing autonomous robotics into the field

EU OPEX brought technology developers and military users together in realistic operational scenarios. For Soraccel, this provided an opportunity to test our approach to autonomy and engage directly with the people whose needs guide its development.

Our ambition is to build autonomous robotic systems that help operators carry out complex missions, including in environments where GPS is unavailable. Developing this capability also supports our commitment to European technological sovereignty.

Supporting the next stage of development

Funded by the European Commission and implemented in partnership with EDA and Ukraine’s Brave1 platform, BraveTech EU supports technologies addressing battlefield challenges.

The €300,000 award will support further development of our technology ahead of additional field experimentation in 2027.

We thank the European Defence Agency, the European Commission, Brave1 and the Portuguese Armed Forces, and congratulate fellow awardees EdgeX Robotics, Kova Labs and Tempterno Defence.

This achievement reflects the commitment of the Soraccel team and marks an important step in our development.
